"Venus" is a series of the soviet interplanet space apparatus for Venus the planet investigations. The maximum starting mass is about 5 t. The first launched in 1961; "Venus-4" studied for the first time the Venus atmosphere directly (1967). "Venus-7" made the first soft landing in the Venus, "Venus-9" carried the first shooting of the planet (1975). In 1961 - 1983 16 "Venus" were launched.

In October 1975 the apparatus of new generation of "Venus-9, -10" softly landed on the Venus translated for the first time the panorama of the planet.
