The Sun and the Moon eclipses.
The eclipses of the Sun and the Moon occures when the Earth comes to the Moon’s shadow (the Son eclipses) or when the Moon comes to the Earth’s shadow (the Moon’s eclipses). The duration of the full solar eclipses is no more then 7,5 min, of the ringing (the great phases) solar eclipses is 1h 45min. The eclipses are repeated with the definite sequence after the period of time 6585 1/3-day (i.e. saros). Every year there are no more then 7 eclipses (three of them are the lunar ones). |
