The nickel iron compound is in the most stone
meteorites that is why the space stones are heavier than the terrestrial ones. But their
main minerals are silicates (olivine and pirogues). The characteristic of the main type of
the stone meteorites - hondrits - is the round formations into them - so called
“honds”. They consist of the same material as the meteorite, but look like separate
grains on its out. Their origin is not clear yet.
