The lower mirage.

The lower mirage

The lower mirages occur when the air layers at the Earth surface are so hot (for example in deserts), that the light beams coming from the object are greatly twised. Drawing the arch they are coming upwards. Thus we can see houses and trees as it reflected in the water. In reality they are the transformed images of far away landscapes. The lower mirages may be seen even on the burning hot hard-surface road.
