Jowell Persival (1855 - 1916) is an American astronomer. The main works concerns Mars’s investigations. The author of a hypothesis about artificial origin of Mar’s channels. In 1915 calculated the orbit and searched the above Neptune planet (Pluto was discovered in 1930).
